The books will close on the 10th full season of O'Reilly Auto Parts Friday Night Drags and Show-N-Shine this Friday night at Atlanta Motor Speedway but not before 18 victors of the season-long drag racing competition are crowned champions of their divisions in the 2016 finale.

Sixteen weeks of 1/8-mile racing in one of the largest organized street-style drag series in the nation all boils down to Friday night as drivers battle one final time for drag strip supremacy. On the line is not only coveted hardware and a full year of bragging rights, but each championship driver will be awarded his or her choice of four tickets to either the NHRA Carolina Nationals at zMAX Dragway Sept. 16-18 or the NHRA Toyota Nationals at The Strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway Oct. 27-30.

While a handful of division titles are already wrapped up, several championship titles will come down to the wire in the final races of the evening.

Divisions still up in the air include the Harding Plumbing, Heating and Cooling Domestic Division, the Truck Division, the MetroPCS Tuner Division, the Mini Melts Sport Compact Division and the Super Bike and Cruiser Bike Divisions.

Meanwhile, David Clevenger of Griffin will repeat as champion of the Active Pest Control Pro Division, Taylor Wilder of Locust Grove will make it two straight in the Diesel Truck Division, and Stockbridge's Tony Freeman has wrapped up the Super Bike Division for the second season in a row.

In the event of a tie following Friday's final round, the champion will be determined by virtue of most final-round victories in this season's points events.

Week 16 is also the final chance in 2016 for fans to take part in the Show-N-Shine speedway cruise, in which participants can take laps in their own vehicle around the historic 1.54-mile AMS oval. The speedway cruise begins at 8 p.m., shortly after the Show-N-Shine, and costs just $20 per vehicle. A mandatory speedway cruise driver's meeting takes place in the Show-N-Shine garage at 7:45 p.m.

Fans can enjoy all the action of the 16th and final week of the 2016 season of O'Reilly Auto Parts Friday Night Drags and Show-N-Shine with general admission just $8 and kids 5 and under admitted free. Gates open at 6:30 p.m., prior to the Show-N-Shine competition, and racing gets underway just after 9 p.m.
