When the green flag flies for the Quaker State 400 Available at Walmart, it is all business for the 40 drivers in the NASCAR Cup Series as they battle for the win. But before the drivers strap in, Atlanta‘s NASCAR fans will help kids win in our community.
The Atlanta Chapter of Speedway Children’s Charities has a host of events and activities planned for - race week and all the way through the checkered flag that fans can participate – all to help the kids.
“NASCAR fans are the lifeblood of Speedway Children’s Charities,” said Kathy Bradley, Director of the Atlanta Chapter. “Any amount helps and with all of our planned events and activities throughout race week and weekend, there are so many great ways for fans to get involved to help support kids in need in our community.”
New for the Quaker State 400 Available at Walmart weekend, SCC will be holding a 50-50 raffle. Half of the money raised through the raffle will benefit kids in the local community, while the other half of the money will be returned to the winner. Fans can participate in the 50-50 raffle by purchasing an entry from the many volunteers canvassing the Speedway over race weekend.

Laps for Charity
Friday, July 7: 6PM – 9:30PM
Kick off your race weekend with Laps for Charity sponsored by Atlanta Paving & Concrete Construction, Inc.! For $60 per car, drive three laps around the track behind an AMS pace car. Or purchase a VIP, five-lap session for $150 with only your vehicle behind the pace car. Participants will receive a Certificate of Completion.
Camper Party Raffle
Friday, July 7: 6PM
Join us at the AMS Camper Appreciation Party at Bootleggers in the Earnhardt Grandstand on Friday! It will be an evening of fun, including a guest appearance by Harrison Burton! Plus, you can go home a big winner with one of our special NASCAR Quaker State 400 Available at Walmart Race Weekend prizes! Tickets are $25 each or 3 for $50.
Red Bucket Brigade
Saturday and Sunday, July 8-9
Look for our SCC Red Bucket Brigade volunteers around the Atlanta Motor Speedway property. You can drop your cash donation in one of our bright red buckets. You'll be helping area children in need! 50/50 Raffle
Saturday and Sunday, July 8-9
Our SCC 50/50 Raffle is back! Be on the look-out for our volunteers selling 50/50 raffle tickets. The winner takes half and the other half will go towards helping children in need. The winning number will be drawn on Sunday. It’s a win-win!
Hot Laps
Sunday, July 9 • 12PM – 2PM
Start your NASCAR Quaker State 400 race day with SCC Hot Laps! For $125 per person, you'll experience three hot laps around the track in one of our official AMS Chevrolet Camaro Pace Cars. Meet NASCAR drive Corey LaJoie who’ll be there to kick off the event!
