Wet weather washed out the fourth week of scheduled action for the O'Reilly Auto Parts Friday Night Drags & Show-N-Shine, the popular street-style drag racing series that takes place weekly on Atlanta Motor Speedway's pit lane drag strip.
Friday's scheduled demonstration by Jerry McCart and his jet semi truck - which is propelled by three massive jet engines mounted on its back - has been rescheduled for July 26.
O'Reilly Auto Parts Friday Night Drags and the Show & Shine will resume on Friday June 14. Grandstand gates open at 6:30 p.m., and nightly drag race eliminations start just after 9 p.m. The Show-N-Shine car show and track cruise driver's meeting takes place in the garage at 7:30 p.m. and is immediately followed by two laps around the famed high banks of the Speedway.
Entry to drag race or for the Show-N-Shine is just $20 or competitors can purchase a combo ticket for $30. Spectator tickets are just $10, and children 5 and under are free.
