Wet weather washed out the tenth week of scheduled action for the O'Reilly Auto Parts Friday Night Drags & Show-N-Shine, the popular street-style drag racing series that takes place weekly on Atlanta Motor Speedway's pit lane drag strip.
O'Reilly Auto Parts Friday Night Drags and the Show & Shine will resume on Friday July 26 and feature demonstrations by Jerry McCart and his jet semi truck, which is propelled by three massive jet engines mounted on its back.
Grandstand gates open at 6:30 p.m., and nightly drag race eliminations start just after 9 p.m. The Show-N-Shine car show and track cruise driver's meeting takes place in the garage at 7:30 p.m. and is immediately followed by two laps around the famed high banks of the Speedway.
Entry to drag race or for the Show-N-Shine is just $20 or competitors can purchase a combo ticket for $30. Spectator tickets are just $10, and children 5 and under are free.
